1st Generation
Roger Dyer born before 1698; married Hannah Smith circa 1720; died April 28, 1758 in the Fort Seybert Massacre.

Hannah Smith, daughter of William Smith, Jr. of Cecil County, Maryland, date of birth unknown; married Roger Dyer circa 1730; date of death unknown.

Children of Roger Dyer and Hannah Smith were:

William Dyer was born circa 1728; married Margaret Hiatt/Hiett/Hyat; died April 28, 1758.
Hester Dyer was born circa 1731, married Matthew Patton; died 1820.
Hannah Dyer was born circa 1735, married Frederick Keister circa 1755, died 1819, buried in the Keister Cemetery in Brandywine, West Virginia.
Sarah Dyer was born circa 1740, married Henry Hawes, married Robert Davis, died 1816.
James Dyer was born circa December 28, 1744, married Phoebe Ann Harrison, married Jane Ralston, married Nancy Jane Hall; died May 2, 1807.
2nd Generation
Frederick J. Keister II born 1730 in Germany; married Hannah Dyer circa 1755; died on November 28, 1815; buried in the Keister Cemetery near Brandywine, Pendleton County, West Virginia.

Frederick J. Keister II immigrated to America from Germany in 1737. He served in the Revolutionary War circa 1776 as a Lieutenant leading his own company.

Hannah Dyer, daughter of Roger and Hannah Dyer, was born in 1735 in Pennsylvania; married Frederick J. Keister II circa 1755; died in 1820 and is buried in the Keister Cemetery near Brandywine, Pendleton County, West Virginia.

As a young child, Hannah Dyer came to the Ft. Seybert, Augusta County, Virginia settlement with her parents, Roger and Hannah Dyer. She married Frederick J. Keister II who came into the Fort Seybert settlement about the same time. Hannah Dyer's father, Roger Dyer was one of the people who died in the Fort Seybert Massacre (located within what is now Pendleton County) on April 28, 1758.

Frederick J. Keister, III born 1774 in Pendleton County, Virginia; married Ann E. Propst circa 1793 in Pendleton County, Virginia; married Malinda Gum/Gwin on June 3, 1851 in Highland County, Virginia; died in 1857 in Pendleton County, Virginia.
George Keister, Sr. born February 5, 1776 in Pendleton County, Virginia; married Susannah Peck on February 18, 1800 in Pendleton County, Virginia; married Mary Ann Jordan on October 12, 1843 in Pendleton County, Virginia; died July 18, 1854.

Susannah Peck, daughter of Garrett Peck and Margaret Croddy, was born on March 4, 1780; married George Keister, Sr. on February 18, 1800 in Pendleton County, Virginia; died July 18, 1843 in Pendleton County, Virginia; buried in the Keister Cemetery in Brandywine, Pendleton County, Virginia.

Elizabeth Keister was born January 24, 1806 in Pendleton County, Virginia; married Jacob Bowman on November 20, 1823 in Pendleton County, Virginia; Moved to Iowa by 1851; died March 17, 1885 in Maquoketa, Iowa.

Jacob Peck, born July 9, 1817 in Pendleton County, Virginia; married Mary Graham Lockridge on March 24, 1836 in Pendleton County, Virginia; died October 3, 1895.
Polly Ann Keister was born April 12, 1820, married November 25, 1837 to Jesse Cowger; died July 3, 1896.
Hannah Keister married Silas Hinton on November 18, 1826 in Pendleton County, Virginia; moved to Iowa; date of death unknown.

Jesse Keister born in September 1845 in Pendleton County, Virginia; died on October 19, 1864. Jesse Keister served in the Civil War, enlisting on February 25, 1864 in Pendleton County, Virginia and died in service from disease while in military. In the Civil War, Jesse enlisted in the 62nd VA Infantry, 2nd Company K. He is buried in the Keister Cemetery located in Brandywine, West Virginia.
Martin Van Buren Keister was born on September 15, 1847 in Pendleton County, Virginia; married Louisa Evick on April 4, 1867; died April 30, 1912 and is buried in the Keister Cemetery in Brandywine, West Virginia.
Mary Ann Keister was born 1849 in Pendleton County, Virginia; married Samuel P. Nelson on June 4, 1871; married Hopkins Teter; date of death unknown.
Solomon G. Keister was born in 1853 in Pendleton County, Virginia; married Sarah E. Lough on December 17, 1877; date of death unknown.

Andrew Jackson McFann was born on February 19, 1820 in Ohio; married Mary Mouler in 1840 (Ohio); married Nancy Andre in Ohio in 1852; married Margaret Elizabeth Brown Keister in Greenup County, Kentucky on September 1, 1870; died in 1907 in Gallia County, Ohio.
