Martin Ansell was born February 7, 1784 in Loudoun County, Virginia; married Hannah Wentz in 1811; died May 9, 1866 in Cabell County, West Virginia. He is buried in Miller Cemetery, Miller, Ohio.

Hannah Wentz was born November 2, 1791 in Pennsylvania; married Martin Ansell in 1811; died March 11, 1862. She is buried in Miller Cemetery, Miller, Ohio.

Children of Martin Ansell and Hannah Wentz Ansell were:
  • Mary Elizabeth Ansell, born March 8, 1812; married James Foiles on June 18, 1840; died August 16, 1887 in Crater, Illinois.
  • Michael Ansell, born January 13, 1816 in [West] Virginia; died November 25, 1870 and is buried in Miller Cemetery, Miller, Ohio.
  • John Wendell Ansell, born May 17, 1817 in [West] Virginia; died August 25, 1877. He is buried in Miller Cemetery, Miller, Ohio.
  • Ann Catherine "Cassie" Ansell, born December 5, 1821 in [West} Virginia; died May 31, 1901. She is buried in Miller Cemetery, Miller, Ohio.
  • Martin Ansell, Jr. was born circa 1823; married Nancy O. Defoor on September 11, 1853 in Lawrence County, Ohio; died July 1900.
  • Leonard F. Ansell, born 1824; married Carrie Burns on October 6, 1850; died September 9, 1856. He is buried in Miller Cemetery, Miller, Ohio.
  • Hannah A. Ansell, born March 8, 1826, Greenbottom, Cabell County, West Virginia; died October 31, 1900 in Quaker Bottom, Ohio. She is buried in Miller Cemetery, Miller, Ohio.
  • Malachi Ansell, born in May 1829 in {West} Virginia; died April 29, 1904; buried in Miller Cemetery, Miller, Ohio..
  • Abraham B. Ansell, born in Virginia circa 1837.
  • Sarah "Sadie" Ansell, born March 18, 1832 in [West} Virginia; died November 6, 1894. She is buried in Miller Cemetery, Miller, Ohio.
  • Mahala Ansell, born in Virginia on January 30, 1838; married David Crawford on November 24, 1861; died on April 30, 1906. She is buried at Greenbottom Memorial Park, Greenbottom, Lesage County, West Virginia.

2nd Generation

David Crawford was born in April 1836 in Ohio; married Mahala Ansell on November 24, 1861 in Ohio; died in Cabell County, West Virginia in 1917. After David Crawford's wife, Mahala, died, David moved onto the farm of his eldest son's, Galatin Crawford.

Mahala Ansell was born in [West] Virginia on January 30, 1838; married to David Crawford on November 24, 1861; died on April 30, 1906; buried at Greenbottom Memorial Park, Greenbottom, Lesage County, West Virginia.

  • Gallatin Eugene Crawford born in December 1862 in Ohio; married Minnie Ellen Farley on July 1, 1884 in Lawrence County, Ohio; died January 10, 1915 in Cabell County, West Virginia.
